See What Other Divers Think
Everything on this site is bad ass!
Could anyone else but BMD make scissors look so b@d@ss? Love the places I can attach these to my BCD or other gear to always have them if I need them. Only small gripe is the BMD Delta Strap part of the system is backordered so I didn't get mine yet.
Awesome Shears! The same quality, craftsmanship and commitment that goes into everything from BMD gear and apparel! I can't say enough great things about everything that I've purchased and look forward to all of the new BMD gear!
Love these shears. They get the job done and look bad ass. Can’t get enough of there equipment and clothing. Best dive brand out there and always looking out for divers. Thanks Kev and James and team for doing what you do.
As pointed out in previous reviews, cutting devices are a popular item marketed to divers and PSD's alike, not all are suited to the demanding realms of the PSD. The crew at BMD are experienced, savvy and legit PSD's and PSD Instructors, their knowledge and ability put into every product they make and sell, the shears and the mounting system are no different. I bought two, one for my "civvy" rig and one for my "pro" rig, both offer different mounting choices. The Squid system allows for ease of changing the mounting configuration to allow for a myriad of mounting options. The Kydex holster holds the shears snug, but allows them to be pulled with a simple snap, I compared it to a level II retention holster, with the snap of an intentional pull to break leather. I intentionally abused it, mounting it, pulling it sideways, up, out and every which way I could and the shears were in my hand over and over. Additionally, putting them back in was just as easy. The system is not overly complicated, simple to use, and I'd go so far as to say, instinctual. Sturdy, reliable and dependable are all canons of gear and BMD never compromises anything. When you need shears, it may be a simple reason (cutting open a charcuterie pack between dives) or cutting 200 lb. test mono entangled around your arm and BC, either reason, the shears are there, easy to get to and use and I feel better having them-
